Welcome to
the Archives
Since 1977, Modern Fuel Artist-Run Centre has been a catalyst for contemporary art.
The creation of Modern Fuel’s digital archives began as an effort to document our history, and provide public access to decades of media from our past exhibitions, community events, and workshops.
Modern Fuel Artist-Run Centre was created as a space for artists to gather, learn, develop their practice, and share resources in Katarokwi/Kingston, Ontario.
Over the past 45+ years, Modern Fuel has hosted hundreds of exhibitions, events, and workshops by emerging and mid-career artists from across Canada, and internationally.
Modern Fuel Artist-Run Centre’s Archives are an educational resource created to provide access to our permanent Archival collection for research, access to cultural heritage, and the preservation of vulnerable media.
