The Number of Days
Carlyn Bezic and Cecily Taylor – 2010
Carlyn Bezic (Kingston resident for almost 1300 days) and Cecily Taylor (Haliburton, ON) have been good friends since they met on their first day at Queen’s in 2006.
Three years later, they take on the task of exploring their time in Kingston, together and apart, in a collaborative exhibition of drawing and sculpture entitled “The Number of Days.” The installation recalls the limits and endlessness of their memory before they go their separate ways and what has transpired between them slips further into the ether.
