Associations Group Exhibition

Modern Fuel is pleased to present Associations, a group exhibition addressing the social dimension of contemporary cultural production.

Curated by Michael DiRisio In conjunction with this exhibition we will be starting a “Policy Matters” reading group, discussing the history of artist-run centres and other noncommercial arts organizations, as well as arts administration more broadly. Thanks to a generous donation by Clive Robertson of two-dozen copies of his book Policy Matters: Administrations of Art and Culture, all participants will be loaned a copy while participating in the reading group.

This will be an invaluable opportunity to critically reflect on artist-run culture and its often unseen administrative side, while discussing ways of improving access for marginalized and racialized communities.
