About the Artist
Hyang Cho—
Born in Seoul, Korea, Hyang Cho currently lives and works in Guelph, Ontario. Cho holds a Bachelor of Arts (history) from Sogang University, Seoul, Korea (1998), a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Alberta College of Art + Design (painting), Calgary (2007), and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Guelph, Ontario (2009).
Recent exhibitions include Nothing Much, Georgia Scherman Projects, Toronto, Ontario (2015), In the Making, Illingworth Kerr Gallery, Calgary, Alberta (2014) Procés, Optica un centre d’art contemporain, Montréal, Quebec (2013) and Hyang Cho, K. Nicol and Joseph Beuys: predisposed (…to thinking through the eye of mutual convenience), McMaster Museum of Art, Hamilton, Ontario (2013). Cho is represented by Georgia Scherman Projects.
