Erin Milliken’s exhibition little wonders is a collection of mixed media pieces that play upon ideas of vulnerability, temporality, communication, connection, wonder and hope. Milliken uses the motif of rabbits as a means of exploring complex societal juxtapositions of vulnerability and destruction. Despite being cruelly treated as disposable, rabbits are resourceful in their speed and cunning and are known for their prolific reproductive abilities. These creatures have a long and storied natural and cultural history, appearing in many mythologies as trickster figures. Above all, they are survivors.
